This 6-day Tanzania safari takes you through some of the most iconic wildlife destinations in Africa. You’ll start with the elephant-rich plains of Tarangire National Park, journey into the legendary Serengeti, where the Big Five roam freely, and end with an awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater tour. This safari offers a perfect blend of diverse wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and unforgettable safari experiences.
Activities Plan
Day 1: Arrival at JRO – Transfer to Arusha
- • Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you’ll be welcomed by our professional guide who will transfer you to Arusha City (Approx. 1-hour drive).
- • Check-in at your hotel and relax after your long flight.
- • Spend the evening at leisure, exploring Arusha or resting at the lodge. If time allows, you will receive a briefing about your safari on this day. Otherwise, this will take place the next morning before you depart for your safari.
- • Dinner and overnight stay in Arusha at Arusha Safari Lodge – on Half Board (Dinner & Breakfast)
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
- • Early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha.
- • Drive to Tarangire National Park (Approx. 2 hours).
- • Morning game drive: Spot large elephant herds, lions, leopards, and diverse bird species.
- • Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic location inside the park.
- • Afternoon game drive, exploring the baobab-studded landscapes.
- • Evening relaxation at a lodge/camp inside or near the park.
• Dinner and overnight stay in Tarangire at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge on Full Board (Dinner, Picnic lunch box, Breakfast)
Day 3: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
- • Breakfast at the lodge/camp, followed by a scenic drive to Central Serengeti (Approx. 6-7 hours).
- • Stop at a viewpoint in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for panoramic photos.
- • Enjoy a game drive en route to Serengeti, spotting wildlife along the way.
- Afternoon arrival at Serengeti National Park, home to the • Big Five and the Great Migration.
- • Evening game drive in the vast plains of Serengeti.
• Dinner and overnight in Central Serengeti at Moyo Tented Camp on Full Board (Dinner, Picnic lunch box, Breakfast)
Day 4: Full Day Safari in Serengeti National Park
- • Early morning sunrise breakfast and game drive – the best time for predator activity, continue exploring Serengeti’s diverse ecosystems.
- • Packed picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness.
- • Afternoon game drive focusing on seasonal wildlife movements and migration routes.
- • Sunset drive back to the lodge/camp for relaxation.
- • Dinner and overnight in Central Serengeti at Moyo Tented Camp on Full Board (Dinner, Picnic lunch box, Breakfast)
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
- • Early breakfast and Morning game drive while exiting Serengeti.
- • Drive towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Approx. 3.30 hours).
- • Stop at a Maasai village for cultural interaction and traditional performances.
- • Arrive at your lodge/camp near the crater rim for relaxation.
- • Dinner and overnight in Ngorongoro at Ngorongoro Kuhama Camp – on Full Board (Dinner, Picnic lunch box, Breakfast)
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport
- • Early breakfast at the lodge/camp.
- • Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a half-day game drive.
- • Spot the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) and other wildlife such as cheetahs, hyenas, hippos, and flamingos at Lake Magadi.
- • Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater.
- • In the early afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive back to Kilimanjaro International Airport (Approx. 4.20-hour drive).
- • Arrive at the airport in time for your departure flight home.
